Meet the team
To give you an insight into the people behind the scenes at Eden River Press, we think it’s important that you know who to talk to when you contact us, and what they can do to help you.
PAUL WINKLEY, Managing Director
Paul joined Eden River Press in October 2003 as Sales and Production Director. With 30 years of experience in the printing industry, Paul soon made his mark and, by 2007 he took over the helm as part of a management buyout. With his keen interest in cycling, Paul has been a member of the East Grinstead Cycling Club for 18 years and is often seen racing off on one of his bikes, to compete in one of the club's many road racing events. His other interests include music and good food and he's often found in the kitchen at home cooking up a storm! Paul's usually your first point of contact on the phone in the office. He will guide you through the best print solution for your design - the trickier the better - and with the help of the rest of the team will make sure you get the best service possible.
NEIL POCOCK, Pre-Press Production and Studio Director
Neil is the longest serving member of the ERP team - here from the very beginning. Neil had worked with the original owner as a Warehouse Manager and was a key constituent in setting up the new venture in 1987. Neil looked after all the deliveries and ran the finishing department. He re-trained and started working in the Repro Department making plates and, over the years, extended his skills with further training to become our Apple Mac specialist and creative artworker.
Neil’s also our resident Firefighter, and when he’s not driving his fire truck, he’ll be riding his beloved GPX400 Motorbike or, more often than not, taking it to pieces on the garage floor!
There’s nothing Neil doesn’t know about print production and he’s your point of contact for any file handling and artwork queries.
STEVE DENNIS, Print Room Director
Steve came to ERP with a wealth of experience having worked in the print industry from school. He has been with us since 2001 and is in charge of running our Litho Press. A self-confessed perfectionist, Steve makes sure your printed materials always meet our very high standards. He’s a stickler for tidiness and runs the cleanest pressroom in the business!
Another cycling enthusiast, Steve is the Chairman of the East Grinstead Cycling Club and last year achieved the record for second fastest 50 mile time trial in the UK at 1hr 40 mins & 50 secs – that's fast! He likes nothing better than poring over a map to plan his next ride, to help clock up his annual 10,000 cycling miles!
Steve’s also partial to a bit of fruit cake (actually any cake will do) and when he’s not out on his bike working off the calories, he enjoys the odd bit of DIY - from laying land drains and installing kitchens to fixing the odd light fitting in the factory! A very ‘handy’ person to have on the team!
ADAM SWAIN, Print Finisher
Adam joined us in 2003 with over 20 years experience in the Print industry. His career started as a warehouse Saturday boy and he worked his way up to press operator in a busy commercial printing environment.
Heavily into sports, Adam has run a couple of half marathons and is a keen footballer – his favourite football team is Brighton and Hove Albion and he’s a loyal and faithful supporter (someone has to be)!
Adam is in charge of the Warehouse and Finishing department and responsible for getting your job cut, stitched, folded and packed securely for delivery - he also drives the delivery van!
A true paragon and all round good egg!
LIZ WINKLEY, Book-keeper and Admin Co-ordinator
Mother of 5 and grandmother of 3, Liz started her career as a local Health Visitor and apart from a couple of breaks to bring up the children, she pursued this career until 2008 when she decided to take an active part in the business and re-trained as a book-keeper.
Liz not only keeps Paul and the kids in order, she manages the office a couple of days a week and is on hand to answer any of your accounts queries.
Loving the outdoors, Liz likes nothing better than catching an early morning sunrise in June, preferably walking on a beach and preferably in Cornwall! She admits to only 2 weaknesses - Chocolate and Cashmere - a woman with flawless taste!
